Atlas Cedar. A conical tree, which with age becomes more open, which has silver grey, fissured bark. The foliage varies from dark green to glaucous blue.

Grow in a sunny, open site in any well-drained soil, including chalk soils. It will reach a height of up to 40m and a spread of up to 10m.

Cedrus libani

Cedar of Lebanon. A conical tree when young which matures to a flat topped tree with wide-spreading branches. The foliage is dark green to grey-green in colour. The bark has scaly fissures and ridges and is black or brown in colour.
