Strawberries
Strawberries are by far the most popular soft
fruit for grow your own at home. They don't need a lot of room and if planted in
August they will bear fruit the following June or July.
Strawberries need to be grown in a open and
sunny site in a humus-rich soil which is well-drained.
Strawberries are available bare-root from
November to March.
Strawberry 'Elsanta'
Large sized orange red fruits are borne in
profusion from mid-June to mid-July. The quality of fruit is excellent, of good
flavour and size and stores well. Mildew resistant.

Strawberry 'Honeoye'
Medium-sized bright red fruits are borne in
profusion from early-June to late-June. The red flesh is firm and has an
excellent flavour. Botrytis resistant.
