Aruncus aethusifolius

A compact perennial with pinnate, mid-green leaves with ovate, deeply cut leaflets which turn yellow in autumn. From June to July panicles of numerous tiny, creamy white flowers are borne.

Grow in moist, fertile soil in full or partial shade. It will reach a height and spread of 25-40cm.

Aruncus dioicus

Goatsbeard. A perennial with pinnate, toothed, hairless, fern-like mid-green leaves with ovate leaflets which turn yellow in autumn. From June to July pyramidal panicles to 50cm long are borne, the male flowers are creamy-white, the female flowers are more pendant and greenish white.

Grow in moist, fertile soil in full or partial shade but will also tolerate drier conditions in full sun. It will reach a height of upto 2m and a spread of 1.2m.
