Eucalyptus gunnii
Cider Gum. A fast growing, dense, erect, evergreen tree which spreads with age. It has smooth whitish-green bark which peels in summer to reveal yellowish to greyish green new bark. The evergreen foliage is blue-green.
Grow in neutral to slightly acidic soil which doesn’t dry out in full sun. Shelter from drying, cold winds. Keep the tree hard pruned in late winter to keep the rounded juvenile foliage. If left to grow unchecked it will reach a height of 10-25m and a spread of 6-15m.

Eucalyptus niphophila
Snow Gum. A dense, spreading tree with smooth whitish grey to pale brown bark which sheds in late summer to reveal the new bark which is yellow, bronze to green in colour. The evergreen foliage is blue-green.
Grow in neutral to slightly acidic soil which doesn’t dry out in full sun. Shelter from drying, cold winds. It will reach a height of 6m.
