Myrtus communis
Common Myrtle. An upright, bushy, evergreen shrub with narrow, glossy dark
green foliage. Produces scented white flowers from July to August which are
followed by purple-black berries.
Grow in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun, shelter
from cold, drying winds. It will reach a height and spread of 1.5m in 10 years.

A more compact, round form of this bushy, evergreen shrub with narrow, glossy
dark green foliage. Produces scented, pink-tinged white flowers in autumn which
are followed by white berries.

from cold, drying winds. It will reach an ultimate height and spread of 1.5m.
