Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Frisia’
Golden False Acacia. A fast growing, broadly columnar tree which has spiny
shoots. The foliage is a rich golden yellow in spring, turning yellow-green in
summer, then orange-yellow in autumn. Deciduous.
They are best grown in full sun and shelter from strong winds as the branches
are brittle. They can be grown in poor dry soils but are best grown in
moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It will reach a height of 15m
and a spread of 8m.
